Today you are a Neutron. But during the next 90 days each and every Proton will be helping you to become a full-fledged Proton. What’s more, they’ll be helping you to become the right kind of Proton. And what is a Proton, you might ask? Well you’ll find out soon enough!
How to use this handbook
This handbook will help you understand how we work, live and have fun together at Pronto Marketing – with a lot of important details on things such as compensation, benefits and what to wear to work.
It’s also very important that you review The Pronto Values that provide us with direction and inspiration on how we do our work and treat others. At Pronto we strongly believe that it’s not just what you do that matters, it’s how you do it. That’s what makes a Proton super-power special!
We do business around the world under the brand Pronto Marketing. Here in Thailand our company is registered as Pronto Group Ltd, trading as Pronto Marketing. In this Employee Handbook, Pronto Group Ltd will be referred to as Pronto or The Company.
Your everyday Pronto life
Live your life and do your work with the Pronto Values in your heart and mind. Working together as a team is at the center of what we do: in the way we communicate, show each other respect and always search for better ways to delight our customers.
At Pronto you’ll see that many teams have daily short ‘stand-up’ meetings to share ideas and updates. This keeps the communication and ideas flowing. Everyone at Pronto from the top down sits in our open office and is available to chat with, ask questions of or share ideas with at any time. Don’t be shy – every Proton has something important to say.
Fresh coffee and a variety of drinks are provided daily to ensure you’re wide awake and ready to go. And for an energy burst in the afternoon, healthy snacks are laid out in the common area to give us all some informal time to have fun and get to know each other.

At Pronto, we celebrate diversity. It doesn’t matter what your age, background, sex, religion, nationality, sexual orientation, level of experience or ping-pong ability is. We show each other respect. We value people for the way they behave and the contributions they make. We appreciate the special color each individual brings to our life. We provide you a comfortable and ergonomic work space, a pleasant office and fun Protons to work with. If there’s anything we can add to make your workspace happy and healthy, be sure to let us know. Stuffed animals, toys and cartoon characters are always welcome at Pronto.
Pronto’s policy is that you must wear something! What you wear is up to you. Use good judgement, wear what’s comfortable for you and expresses your unique style and personality. It’s OK to let the real you shine at Pronto.
Your timeline - getting started at Pronto
Managing your time, in and out of the office
Working hours
Pronto’s normal office hours are flexible, with an hour taken for lunch at your preference time. There may be times when you are required to work outside these hours. Overtime payments are not paid unless specified in an individual employment agreement. Your working hours may vary from time to time by mutual agreement.
Like many things at Pronto, with flexibility comes responsibility. We don’t expect you to punch in and out of a time clock; we trust your judgement and expect you to do the right thing. But it’s important that you communicate with your manager and team so that people can count on you and understand your schedule.
Flex days
At Pronto we give you the flexibility and responsibility to manage your schedule. We have a system of Flex Days that lets you earn Flex Days by working on weekends or holidays.
When you work a Flex Day or take Flex Time off please inform your team and HR in advance. Again, Bamboo is the tool that you will need to use when you will be gone from the office or coming into work on a non-work day and taking leave on another day instead. In Bamboo, please mark the day you take off as Flex-off and the day that you will come to work as Flex-Worked Day. Please balance your flex days within 3 months. More details are below.

Remote working
Since 2020, Pronto has become a primarily remote company.
However, we still believe face-to-face interactions are important for building relationships with your coworkers, sparking new ideas, and rallying around team goals, so even though most days can be worked remotely, there will be days where you are required to attend in-office meetings.
On top of that, we believe the added freedom of remote work also comes with the added responsibility of being dependable and communicative with your team and our clients regardless of where you are working.
Sick days
Please inform your team and HR as soon as you can and have some rest. But make sure you register your sick day on our Bamboo software, so we know what’s happened. More details are below.
Vacation & holiday
Please inform your team and HR in advance before leaving on vacation. Once again, Bamboo is the tool that you will need to use when you will be gone from the office. If you are planning a longer break, please contact your manager so that they can keep the team informed and make sure that your work is covered. More details are below.

We expect all employees to respect Pronto’s and our customer’s confidential information both while you’re working at Pronto and after you leave. Your Employee Contract includes your agreement and consent with our Non-Disclosure & Confidentiality Agreement: https://www.prontomarketing.com/nda/.

BambooHR
At Pronto we use a bunch of browser-based applications, one of which is called BambooHR. Bamboo is our portal for your personal information, compensation and benefits.
For requesting time off, sick leave and managing flex days, as well as checking all your benefits, please see the BambooHR instructions.
Small Improvements
For reviews we use an application called Small Improvements. This provides you and your manager with a standard template for your reviews as well as 360 Peer Feedback. You’ll learn more about this when your first review is scheduled.
Technology
We use the latest technology at Pronto. You’ll be given your choice of using a Mac or Windows PC – it’s up to you. Depending on your job role, we’ll make sure you have the applications and software you need.
Pronto has a strict no piracy policy. This means that all software, stock photos, creative assets and applications must be properly and legally licensed. If you’re not sure, or have a specialized software requirement, just ask your manager or the IT team for help. We want you to have the best tools to do your job, and we want to be a good, law abiding member of the business community.

Compensations
Salary and wages
The salary we’ve agreed with you is outlined in your employment agreement and should be regarded as confidential. You should not disclose your salary or wages to anyone within The Company other than your immediate manager. Full details of the breakdown of your salary or wage payment will be shown on your payslip which will be given to you on, or just after, payday. Your salary or wages are accrued throughout the month and paid the day before the end of the month into your nominated bank account. If the day before the end of the month is on a weekend or holiday, the money will be transferred to your account on the Friday, or the day before the holiday, whichever is applicable.
Salary review process
Your salary or wage will be reviewed every 6 months and adjusted in line with your performance. The salary review process will take into account your performance in your role, market rates for your role and the Company’s ability to pay. Reviews will not necessarily lead to an increase.
Benefits overview
The Company provides a complete package of benefits to all eligible full‐time employees.
The following outline of available benefits is provided with the understanding that benefit plans may change from time to time, and the provider plan descriptions or contracts are to be considered the final word on the terms and conditions of the employee benefits provided by The Company.
Continuation of any benefits after termination of employment will be solely at the employee’s expense and only if permitted by policies and statutes. The Managing Director will determine deductible levels and co‐payments for all insurance related benefits annually.
In the event of any inconsistencies between this handbook or any other oral or written description of benefits and a formal plan document, the formal plan document will govern.

Social Security
The Company participates in the provisions of Social Security. Employees’ contributions are deducted from each paycheck and contributed at the applicable wage base as established by the Thai law.

Group Health Insurance
A basic individual coverage health Insurance plan is provided to you at no cost, starting from your first day working for Pronto.

Dental Coverage
This benefit comes with the package that each employee is able to choose after they have worked with The Company for one year. The total amount is up to your allowance budget plan, starts at 15,000THB per year and this cannot be carried over to the following year The employee must use and reimburse it before 31st December of each year, otherwise it will be lost.
HOW TO GET REIMBURSED FOR A DENTAL FEE?
- Prepare ‘ExpensesReimbursementForm’, to be completed and signed by the employee and manager, then submit to HR
- Attach a receipt from the dental clinic showing the employee’s name, date and the cost

Provident Fund
Employees who have worked at Pronto for more than two years are entitled to apply for membership of the Provident fund.
- Employee's contribution: On every payday, the fund member pays the Employee's Contribution to the fund by salary deduction at the rate of 5%-15%
- Employer's contribution: The employer will remit its contribution to the fund on the same day at the rate of 5% of the salary of each member
- Vesting condition of the Employer's Contribution and earning thereof: Members whose memberships are terminated are entitled to receive the employer's contribution plus earning thereof on the following basis.>
Benefits: Sick, vacation and leave
Under the Thai Labor Law, employees can take sick leave (with pay) for a total of 30 days per year.
HOW TO TAKE SICK LEAVE?
- Request on BambooHR for manager approval
- Give notice by sending an email to your team and HR
Please note: Sick leave cannot be used for dental appointments.
- Maternity leave: 98 days [Please submit Time-off type: Maternity leave in BambooHR]
- Paternity leave: 5 days paid
- Emergency leave: 5 days paid
- Bereavement for immediate family members including employee’s parents, legal spouse (if married), legitimate siblings, and legitimate children only; also includes funeral allowance of 5,000 THB
- Hospitalization of immediate family members including employee’s parents, legal spouse (if married), legitimate siblings, and legitimate children only
- Disasters including typhoon, flooding, earthquake, political unrest, or other natural or human-caused disasters resulting in employee’s inability to work for an extended period
- Wedding leave: 3 days paid

If the employee’s vacation days have all been used, it is still possible to request days off by taking unpaid leave.

Ten days vacation (pro-rated amount) will be awarded to employees who have worked with The Company for less than one year. Employees who have worked here for over one year will be qualified to choose a new package, either 10 or 15 days. Five vacation days can be carried over to the following year.
About vacation and time away
A vacation is not a time to take your laptop with you and stay in touch with the office. A vacation is your time to have fun, relax, be with friends and family and recharge your batteries. In almost all cases we discourage working while on vacation because – well, if you’re working, it’s not really a vacation, is it? You’ve worked hard, you’ve earned a break – take it and come back to Pronto full of fresh energy and new ideas.
HOW TO TAKE VACATION LEAVE?
- Check your available vacation allowance and request on BambooHR for manager approval
- Give notice by sending an email to your team and HR
Employees can manage their time with Flex Day – Work and Flex Day – Off.
- Flex Day – Work is a day when the employee works on a national holiday or during the weekend.
- Flex Day – Off is a day when the employee takes a day.
Once you submit a flex day, you should balance the two types of Flex Day to be zero within three months. Keep an eye on the days you’ve used as Flex Days, since they cannot be carried over to next year. The employee should ensure that their days in credit are used before 31st December of each year.
HOW TO TAKE FLEX DAY – WORK AND FLEX DAY – OFF?
- Make a request on BambooHR for both options at ‘Flex Worked’ and ‘Flex Off’ for your manager’s approval
- Give notice by sending an email to your team and HR
Benefits: Learning & having fun
Allowance Fund Reimbursement
Pronto provides an allowance for employees to take just about any classes they wish. The amount is from 15,000 up to 30,000 per year, depending on the package you choose; the amount is pro-rated based on time worked. This yearly budget needs to be used by the end of each year and it cannot be carried over to the following year year. If you’re not sure if the class you want to take is eligible for reimbursement, just ask the HR team.
HOW TO REIMBURSE YOUR ALLOWANCE FUND?
- Prepare ‘ExpensesReimbursementForm, to be completed and signed by the employee and manager, then submit to HR
- Attached a receipt showing the employee’s name, date and the cost for reimbursement
Entertainment and Relaxation
- Free coffee, drinks and fresh snacks are provided every day
- Company meeting and party once a month, with free food and drinks
- Games room, Pool table, board games and table tennis are provided for your enjoyment

Benefits: Eligibility & Plans
In your first year of service, employees are awarded ten (10) vacation days, or a pro-rated amount, plus basic health insurance and a 15,000 THB Allowance Fund.
Eligible employees who have been full-time employees for one full year will be awarded special benefit packages by The Company. Employees can choose one of the three benefit packages that best meets their needs. The packages are listed below:
